What really matters?

What really matters is whether that particular client will give a recommendation...

What really matters is: did we had fun?

What really matters is that we find a way to educate students who face much bigger problems than the vast majority of kids here can even imagine.

What really matters is how a company executes the every day tasks of serving their customers and clients.

What really matters is the health of the relationships I have with the people I love and I'm going to invest the time, energy, and heart into those people because they're worth it.

What really matters is if you are saving money.

What really matters is not what you hear or I hear or what Eagle Action writers post or what the Globe says. What matters is what happens on the field.

When considering prisoners of war, what really matters is that, for the duration of the war, they cannot return to the battlefield.

What really matters is what the market conditions are in your region, town, or neighborhood.

What really matters is that you create a space in your consciousness for appreciation for all that you have right now, so that you may live joyously in your present moment.

What really matters is the gap between your current income and your desired income.

Glenn seems to suggest that there's a problem with thinking that what really matters is not what other people think of one's actions, but what God thinks.

What really matters is knowledge, not consensus. what really matters is the set of knowledge you have to have in order to do useful work.

While geolocating you in the world is neat and all, what really matters is who is near you.

What really matters is the relationship, not selling the latest product.

What really matters is your ability to recognize what really matters.

Lost in the Blogosphere

  • I have lost and gained weight

  • I have lost all of the motivation I once had

  • I have lost count the number of times I have laughed almost to the point of collapse at work and said to myself "I must put that on the blog".

  • I have lost my voice

  • I have lost five days

  • I have lost 20GB of family pictures

  • I have lost core strength, flexibility and stamina in just a couple of weeks

  • I have lost my Search option

  • I have lost steam

  • I have lost all my design skills

  • I have lost interest in anything which has nothing to do with what I want to do in my life

  • I have lost 10 pounds in three weeks and cannot figure out why that is all

  • I have lost total control

  • In the last week I have lost two of my Tiger Barbs

  • I have lost all faith in the judicial system

  • I have lost my will to "play nice"

  • I have lost track of the number of job offers or inquiries I have received as a direct result of my online writing

  • I have lost certainty

  • I have lost radio contact

  • I have lost a good friend

What it would take...

I'd like him better if he were my friend

I'd like him better if his sig said Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'd like him better if he spelled his name right

I'd like him better if he brought you back

I'd like him better if he didn't ponce about so much

I'd like him better if he didn't punch me out every time he saw me

Maybe I'd like him better if his name was Jake Fork

I'd like him better if he'd been dubbed "Thomasito"

I'd like him better if he hadn't been sued multiple times for sexually harassing the models on price is right

I'd like him better if he didn't sound so much like Ray Romano

I'd like him better if he were real

I'd like him better if he didn't wear that!

I'd like him better if he didn't care that I don't like him

I'd like him better if he could pitch

I’d like him better if next time he replied with a “ho ho”

Or am I asking too much?

I want more than just a blog.
Because I want more than just milk!

I want more than just Wal-Mart. I'd like some larger department stores.
(I want more than just summer, I would take Fall too)

That used to be enough for me, but lately, I want more than just the physical.
In other words I want more than just good design, I want cutting edge technology as well.
Do I want more than just sex?

I want more than just 4 songs (that I can’t purchase or steal) from a band I really like. I want more substance and less nudity, more creativity and less ...
just because I want more than just going in, keeping the kids in line, and following orders.
I Want More Than Just Another Bloody Relationship

What if I want more than just one cup of coffee?

But I want more than just GUI adjustments and a performance boost. I want some fundamental changes,
Because I want more than just a professional career.
More importantly, I want more than just reverse execution.

We are stilll best friends but I want more than just that, how can I tell her...
I want more than just talking for the sake of it.
I want more than just the hit off of a CD
I want more than just shopping and site-seeing.

I want more than just a dripper.
Maybe I want more than just clean hair, after all.
